Word on the street

A multi-country participatory urban appraisal to assess the physical and urban context for African children.

The report identified high numbers of urban children living without family support. Many are immigrants, and as such are often subject to religious and cultural discrimination.

The needs of urban children will only increase as urban growth is likely to coincide with increasing inequality. The intention is that this report will support governments, donors, the private sector and other development partners to develop a strategy for future investment in urban areas – where the majority of Africa’s children will live in the near future.

Tasks included:

  • report design
  • picture selection
  • infographics and diagrams.
